This Amish handmade square double pie carrier Gingerich Style basket with leather carrier handles will accommodate pies 8" - 9" and up to 3 inches High. What a beautiful, well-constructed basket for carrying not one pie, but up to two pies with ease. This basket can also be used as a picnic basket. Place your pie or dessert in the bottom portion, place the inside tray on top, and then fill the top portion with your picnic items. The lid on this basket is fitted, and the tray has a hole in the center for ease in removal using one hand. What a beautiful basket at an affordable price!!!
How to Care for Your Amish Basket
Use the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner or a soft dry duster or rag to remove loose dirt and debris. Use a damp (not wet) cloth to clean spills and spots. Avoid close contact with cooking areas. Grease and cooking odors can settle into wood over time. Avoid direct sunlight as this can cause premature fading and drying. If you want, you can line your basket with a liner (sold separately), or simply use a large dry towel or sheet to protect the basket's interior surface.
